Facilities & SERVICES
We are proud to provide a full suite of leading services and facilities whether you are a long term berth holder or visiting yachtsman.
Full Service Boatyard
With over 40 years experience, we cater for the majority of vessels up to 16.5′ (5m) beam and up to 60′ (18m) length. Our travel hoist can accommodate up to 35 tonne vessels whilst our onsite shipwrights, riggers and engineers can assist with any aspect of servicing or repair.
High Quality Pontoons
We continually ensure our pontoons, boards, piles and safety features are at an exceptional level through regular maintenance programmes and a commitment to quality. Access to our pontoons is controlled by a code obtainable from the main office or the Duty Harbourmaster.
Harbourmaster & Fuel
Our Duty Harbourmasters are onsite 365 days a year and will happily help with booking visitor berths, assisting with your lines, arranging fuel from our diesel berth or gas cylinder stores, providing local knowledge, or simply being there for a chat when you reach the shore.
DIESEL BERTH
Our diesel berth is open 7 days a week and can provide fuel at retail, percentage split or commercial prices. Simply contact the Duty Harbourmaster for refuelling and current pricing.

Access to our pontoons and facilities blocks are strictly controlled to only allow access to berth holders or visitors. Our entire site is covered by monitored CCTV recording and our lower shoreside car parks are available to permit holders only.
WiFi
We are pleased to provide total WiFi coverage across all our pontoons and shoreside areas. Simply, ask the main office or Duty Harbourmaster for the current code to get online.
24/7 access and egress
Vessels can access our berths without the worry of tides or weather conditions. We also dredge the main channels on a rolling annual basis ensuring that you always have at least 2.5m clearance.
Storage Ashore
There are two large areas for storage ashore near the main block and adjacent to the marina basin. Priority spaces are reserved for our annual resident pontoon berth-holders but we are also happy to accommodate visiting boats. Electricity is provided throughout the site and our CCTV systems ensure complete security whilst your vessel is ashore.
Water & Electricity
All berths have access to fresh water and electricity with hoses flushed weekly to ensure a clean supply of water and electrical sockets checked and tested to ensure uninterrupted power. Electricity is also available throughout our shore stage areas.
Shower Block
Situated in our main building residents and visitors have access to our clean, modern shower and facilities block ideal after an adventurous voyage. We are pleased to provide dedicated disabled facilities for less abled guests. Access is controlled by a code available from the main office or the Duty Harbourmaster.

Within our facilities block are washing machines and dryers allowing you to clean any wet or dirty clothing prior to setting off or before a trip into Burnham’s town centre.

Pilotage
PILOTAGE NOTES FROM THE RIVER CROUCH ENTRANCE
Useful Charts to use are: AC5607, 1183, 1975, 3750, Imray C1 Y17. Refer to Reeds Almanac for information on tidal differences height and time. The Standard Port is Walton On The Naze.
Navigation – S Buxey SHM lit buoy – approach from the East Swin or the Wallet via the Spitway and N Swallow SWM into the Whitaker channel.
The Whitaker channel and the river are lit/buoyed to 0.5M west of Essex Marina.
From Sunken Buxey NCM lit buoy, the spire of St Mary’s Church (difficult to identify) leads 233o to Outer Crouch SCM lit buoy; thence steer steer 24oo past Foulness Pt into the river. There is a 2.2M unlit gap between Inner Crouch SWM lit buoy and the Horse Shoal NCM lit buoy.
There after follow the buoyed channel to Green SHM No11 (FlQ G), turn to starboard for the Yellow entrance marker (FlY5s) to Burnham Yacht Harbour.
